Mortgage financing is one of the easiest way to buy real estate properties with no money or little money by using funds borrowed from legally recognized financial institution in Uganda . These banks will always like borrowers to have a good credit history and the best of all is to have an account with that bank your are willing to borrow from for your land or home purchase. And different banks have got different requirements required to access mortgages. Below are some financial institutions offering the service and interests and loan terms.
Housing financing bank
18% Interest up to 30 years
Centanary Bank
19.5% interest up to 10 years
ABSA Banks
20% interest up to 10 years
Stanbic Bank
17.5% interest up to 20 years and can do 100% financing.
Exim Bank
22.5% commercial loan/ personal loan
Cairo Bank
17% interest up to 10 years.
DFCU BANK
19% Interest rate, partly or wholly negotiable
Finance Trust Bank
21% interest rate up to 5 years, financing up to 70% of the mortgage
Most of these mortgages are negotiable in terms payment and terms , there can shortened when agree to pay at once.
In Uganda, we have got more than 20 commercial banks that can give loans but not specific mortgages, but can give you business or commercial loans and its up to you to use that money to finance for your land or home purchase.
